Image is too
light; there is
low image
density.
The Auto-Image
Density Control
(AIDC) detection
sensor is dirty.
Open the front door, and then press
the AIDC sensor lever a few times (no
cleaning cloth is necessary.)
The media is moist
from humidity.
Remove the moist media and replace
with new, dry media.
There is not much
toner left in the
cartridge.
Replace the toner cartridge.
One or more of the
print units are
defective.
Remove the print unit(s) and check for
damage. If necessary, replace it
(them).
Media type may be
set incorrectly.
When printing envelopes, labels, thick
stock, and transparencies, specify the
appropriate media type in the printer
driver.
