The electric parking brake is released.
This gives you enough time to move your foot
from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal and
depress it before the vehicle begins to roll away.

A er a short time, Hill Start Assist no longer
holds the vehicle.

Swi ly move your foot from the brake
pedal to the accelerator pedal. Do not
leave the vehicle when it is being held by
Hill Start Assist.

Adaptive Brake Lights warn following tra c in an
emergency braking situation with the following
actions:
R
By ashing the brake lamps
R
By activating the hazard warning lights
If the vehicle is braked sharply from speeds above
50 km/h, the brake lamps ash rapidly. This pro-
vides tra c travelling behind you with an even
more noticeable warning.
If the vehicle is travelling at speeds of more than
70 km/h at the beginning of the brake applica-
tion, the hazard warning lights switch on once the
vehicle is stationary. When you pull away again,
the hazard warning lights will switch o automati-
cally at approximately 10 km/h. You can also
switch o the hazard warning lights using the haz-
ard warning button.

In valet service mode, the vehicle acceleration is
limited to reduce the risk of damage to and
improper use of the vehicle when it is handed over
to third parties.
Valet service mode is characterised by the follow-
ing:

The maximum speed that can be driven is limi-
ted to 80 km/h.

Drive programs

ESP ® cannot be deactivated.

Pro les that are still logged in are logged out
and unprotected pro les are secured.

Valet service mode

Activate or deactivate the function.
If valet service mode is activated, an indicator
lamp in the driver's display lights up.
