To adjust the tone characteristic
Base and treble can be adjusted independently.
To set the radio to a “ fla t” tone s e tting (bass and tre b le at mid-range setting),
briefly press both tone co n tro ls
(^ s im u lta n e o u s ly .
Upon pressing either tone button, the tone level fo r that function (either b a s s J J
or treble
) will begin increasing. It stops increasing when the button is
released or when the maximum tone level is reached (approx. 2.5 seconds).
A fte r reaching the maximum tone level, the tone co n tro l will stay at that level
unless the tone button is released and pressed again, at w hich point the tone
level will start decreasing. It will stop decreasing w hen the button is released or
when the minimum tone level is reached (approx. 5 seconds).
A fter reaching the minimum tone level, the tone co n tro l will stay at that level
unless the tone button is released and pressed again. A fter pressing the tone
button again the tone level will begin to increase and the cycle is repeated.
A djustm ents made to the tone characteristics can be observed on the tone
setting indicator in the display.
N o te : It takes approx. 5 seconds to go from minimum tone level to maximum
tone level.
To select AM or FM
Press any of the b u ttons marked U iJ
through QJ3 to tune the radio
to the FM band.
Press any of t he b u ttons marked QZ]
through [E 3 to tune the radio
to the AM band.
The selected wave band is shown in
the digital display.
To tune in a station
Stations can be tuned in by using
autom atic seek, d ire ct frequency tu n
ing, manual tuning, or by preset push
buttons. The frequency of the station
selected is indicated on the digital
display.
Autom atic station seeker
Switch to the wave band desired by
pressing any of t he fo llowing b u tto n s:
fo r FM, b u tto n s (JJ] through QJ3,
fo r AM, b u ttons (JJ] through [JJJ] .
By pressing the autom atic station
seeker bar
upward the
radio will seek stations in ascending
frequencies, by pressing down it will
do so in descending frequencies. The
direction of autom atic seeking can be
reversed by pressing the bar
in the respective direction. In order to
arrive at a desired station w ithout
stopping, the bar m ust be held in the
desired direction.
