ACCELERATOR PEDAL MODULE 2
`
COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
The Accelerator pedal module is installed at the upper end of the accelerator pedal assembly. The APM sensor
detects the accelerator position and sends a voltage signal to the ECU.
Accelerator pedal module has two sensors. These sensors are variable resistance potentiometers whose resistance
changes according to the pedal position. The ECU applies a reference voltage to the APM sensor and then measures
the voltage that is present on the APM sensor signal circuit. The ECU uses the APM sensor for further calculation of
fuelling & other engine operational parameters

NORMAL OPERATION
The ECU supplies a reference voltage of 3.25 ±0.25 V for C04 ECU and 5±0.25V to the APP 2 sensor and then
measures the voltage that is present on the APP 2 sensor output signal circuit. In normal operation, the sensor output
voltage varies from 0 to 1.65 V for C04 and 0 to 2.5V for C55. In addition, the ECU ensures that the voltage output
does not become too large while the engine is in idling.
