Ignition OFF

Check and verify the 15 amps
EGR fuse is Okay
Step 2
Go to Step 4

Turn ignition ON

EGR actuator connector
DISCONNECTED

ECU connector
CONNECTED

Turn ignition ON

Measure the voltage
between pin 2 and battery
negative

Clear the error codes and
verify
Step 1

Connect the smart tester

Turn the ignition ON

Initialize the diagnostic tool

Record the error codes and clear

Turn ignition OFF

Turn ignition ON

Verify if P0403,P0404,P405 or
P0406 is present
Is P0403, P0404,
P0405 or P0406
present?
YES
NO
YES
Is the fuse
Okay?

Ignition OFF

Replace the fuse

Clear error codes and
verify
Go to Step 3
YES
NO
