COMPONENT DESCRIPTION 

 

The brake switch is located on the brake pedal assembly.

 

Brake main switch signal is applied to the ECU when the 

brake pedal is depressed. The brake redundant switch signal is applied to ECU when the brake pedal is released. This 
signal is used mainly to decrease the engine speed when the vehicle is driving.
