Clear the error codes and
verify

Turn ignition OFF

Accelerator pedal sensor
connector
DISCONNECTED

ECU connector
CONNECTED

Turn ignition ON

Measure the voltage
between pin D of the
accelerator pedal connector
and battery negative
Step 1

Connect the smart tester

Turn the ignition ON

Initialise the diagnostic tool

Record the error codes and clear

Turn ignition OFF

Turn ignition ON

Verify if P0122 or P0123 or
P1120 is present?
Is P0122 or P0123
or
P1120 is present?
YES
NO
Go to Step 5
Is voltage 3.0 to
3.5V for C04 and
4.75 to5.25V for
C55?
NO
Does continuity
exist?
YES Go to Step 3
Go to Step 4
NO

Ignition OFF

Accelerator pedal sensor
connector DISCONNECTED

ECU connector CONNECTED

Check the continuity between
pin D and pin E of the
accelerator pedal sensor
connector
