Stand-alone test procedures

Overview

Purpose

This chapter describes all the tests that should be carried out to check the functionality
of the NEs.

Assumptions

Make sure all assumptions listed below are fulfilled before carrying out any tests:

•

All NEs are mounted and cabled correctly (see chapters 3 and 4).

•

The people carrying out the tests are familiar with

LambdaUnite

®

MSS, the SDH

or SONET functionality, the

WaveStar

®

CIT software and the handling of the test
