The User Interface

PVS on product start?

This option is displayed for selection for all test types and timings. If selected, a PV test is
required when you change the product being run to start inspection a different product.

Tap in the option check box to enable this option.

PVS on product end?

This option is displayed for selection for all test types and timings. If selected, a PV test is
required when you change the product being run to a different product to end inspection of the
product.

Tap in the option check box to enable this option.

Software

Purpose

The Software screen is displayed by tapping on the Software icon in the

System Settings

screen.

The purpose of the screen is to display the currently installed software versions to the user. This is
useful information to provide to Loma Service Engineers when reporting an issue as they can then
investigate whether the issue can be resolved by carrying out a software upgrade.

Remote Support

Purpose

If the metal detector has been connected to a network, tapping on the Remote Support icon in the

System Settings

screen enables users to connect remotely to the metal detector from their PC using

the VNC Viewer.

The screenshot shown below is briefly displayed until the remote connection facility has been
enabled.

Note that the IP address for the metal detector will be displayed but this has been replaced with
XXX.X.X.XX in the screenshot.
