Product Settings
Purpose
Before a product can be inspected a number of basic details and parameters for the product must be
entered into the Product Settings screen which are then used by the metal detector software to
control how the product is inspected.
Great care should therefore be taken to ensure that the correct details are entered and selections
made as they will directly affect how the machine will operate.
Entering incorrect details may cause false triggering and allow contaminated products to go
undetected.
Some options may not be displayed if access to them is not enabled.
Screen Contents
The Product Settings screen contains the following contents for displaying information and providing
navigation to other screens:
■
#(number)
To assist with identification and selection, you should give all products a unique name, which
can be up to 25 alphanumeric characters in length.
Tap in the name field to display the pop-up keyboard screen and then enter the product name.
■
Barcode
The product barcode can be scanned or entered manually. This allows product changes to be
activated automatically using a barcode scanner fitted to the conveyor infeed. Tap the Barcode
field to display the Enter product barcode screen.
Tap the 'Cancel' red X button to display the pop-up keyboard screen and then enter the
barcode.
