double-click the Control Program icon.

Use the Printer Properties when you

Reset document defaults
Opening the Printer
Properties from your
application
You can open the Printer Properties
from almost any application. This
allows you to change printer settings
for each document you print. To open
the Printer Properties from your
application:

Open the application’s File menu.

Choose Print (or Printer) Setup.

In the Printer Setup dialog box,
click the Properties, Options or
Setup button (depending on the
application).

Change settings as needed.
Opening Printer Properties
from Windows
To make your changes apply to all
documents, open the Printer Properties
from Windows.

Open the Lexmark Z31 Control
Program.

Click the Windows Printing tab.

Click the Windows Driver Setup
button.
Using the Spool Manager
in Windows 3.1 or 3.11
The Spool Manager automatically runs
each time you send a document to print
through Windows. To open the Spool
Manager from the Control Program:

group, double-click the Control
Program icon.

Click the Windows Printing tab.

When you open the Printer Properties
from an application, the settings apply
only to the document you are currently
creating.
To open the Printer Properties:

Open the application’s File menu.

application).

click the Properties, Options or
Setup button (depending on the
application).

Change settings as needed.
You can also open Printer Properties
from the Windows NT 4.0 desktop and
adjust the settings to apply to all
documents.

printer icon.

Document Defaults.
