The Align Cartridge dialog box appears on your screen. Depending
on the cartridge combination you have installed in your printer, a test
page with one or more alignment patterns is printed. Each pattern
has a number under it.
The test page looks similar to the one shown:

From each alignment group on the test page, locate the number under
the alignment pattern that comes closest to forming a perfectly straight
line.
For example, select
4
from Group A, since it comes closest to
forming a straight line.

In the Align Cartridges dialog box, enter the numbers from the printed
test page of the appropriate alignment settings.

After you have entered a number for all of the patterns, click
OK
.

Tip
Print quality
suggestions
•
Make sure you are using a
paper designed especially
for inkjet printing.
•
If you are using specialty
media, make sure the print
side is facing you.
Quick Fix
If print is smudged or
too dark:
•
Make sure the Paper Type
setting in the printer
software matches the paper
type loaded in the printer.
•
Make sure the paper is
straight and in good
condition.
•
Let the ink dry before
handling the paper.
•
Clean the print cartridge
nozzles. For help, see
“Cleaning print nozzles” on
page 35.
