Printing on paper and other media

Complete the cartridge installation by updating the control program. 

For information on opening the Control Program, see the “Tip” in 
the margin

.

Follow the instructions on the Change Cartridge screen to install a new 
or an old photo cartridge.

If your printer software prompts you to align your cartridges, insert a 
sheet of plain paper into the automatic feeder and follow the 
instructions on your screen.

Remove the sticker 
and tape covering 
the gold contact 
area of the photo 
print cartridge.

  Insert the photo 

cartridge.

Snap the photo 

cartridge into place.

Click the Cartridges 
tab.

Click Install/Change 
Cartridge.

Warning

Cartridge handling 

Do NOT touch the gold 
contact area on the print 
cartridge! Microscopic 
particles may clog the print 
nozzles.
