V - WARRANTIES
the warranty is valid starting from the original date of purchase of the bicycle and is applicable only for bikes
used under normal conditions..
LAPIERRE frames are warranted against manufacturing defects during 5 years for hardtail and suspended
frames.
the frames of our dH920 and fROGGY bikes are warranted 2 years if used under normal conditions; they are
not warranted if used in competition.
Any component used on LAPIERRE bikes are warranted against manufacturing defects for 2 years from the
original date of purchase.
Some components, such as suspension forks, rear shock absorbers, complete wheels, and hydraulic brakes
are subject to the warranty conditions of the manufacturers, who deal directly with warranty issues.
Paints and decals are warranted against manufacturer’s defects for a period of one year from the date of
purchase.
for bikes including and preceding the 2008 collection, warranty on frames remains the same: 5 years on
hardtails, and 2 years on full suspended bikes.
for all warranty claims, the user must have a proof of purchase indicating the date of purchase from a Lapierre
authorized dealer. the dealer will perform an initial analysis of the problem. All warranty claims must be
authorized by the Lapierre warranty claims department. the user must present the completed warranty booklet
as well as the invoice statement.
All warranty claims will be considered only following an expertise revision of the bicycle by Lapierre. the dealer
is responsible for paying any cost or travel shipment related to a warranty claim. All bikes or frames returned
with due postage will be refused.
Should the bicycle or any of its parts be determined to be covered by this warranty, it will be repaired or replaced
with a new identical or corresponding part. Lapierre cannot guarantee the availability of all frames and colors.
