WARNING
The excavator used in handling operations must conform with current local regulations and be equipped
with safety valves and an overload alarm in compliance with EN 474-5. For detail see "LIFTING OBJECTS
WITH LIFTING DEVICE" (3-166).

Only the hook situated on the rod of the bucket should be used as a coupling point for the purpose of
lifting objects.
q
Do not use other coupling points.
q
It is forbidden to weld hooks or ears to the bottom of the bucket.
q
If the machine is not equipped with an appropriate hook, contact the Komatsu distributor.
q
Fitting a lifting hook must be monitored and certified by the competent Authorised Body.
q
Determine the signals to be used and place a signalman in position. For detail see "SIGNALMAN'S SIGNAL
AND SIGNS" (2-29)

To prevent the machine from tipping over or falling, carry out the operation on flat ground.
q
To prevent the danger of contact with a raised load or the danger from a falling load, do not allow any worker
inside the area.
CAUTION
q
RLL (Rated Lifting Load) for the link may not be the same as the lifting capacity of the machine.

Always be sure to lift within the relevant lifting limits and not exceeding RLL
q
It is forbidden to exceed the lifting load limits specified in the machine diagrams.

