Turbo protection function
The turbo protection function protects the turbocompressor; it keeps engine speed below 1150 rpm right after the
engine starts.

When the turbo protection function is activated, engine speed remains below 1150 rpm regardless of the fuel
grip position.

When the turbo protection function is activated, engine speed remains below 1150 rpm even if the fuel grip is
operated.
q
When the turbo protection function is deactivated, engine speed makes reference to the position of the fuel
grip.
q
The following table shows the relationship between the activation time of the turbo protection function and the
engine coolant temperature.
