(1) Safety device control lever
WARNING

Before leaving the cab, lower the equipment to the ground and shift the safety lever to position “lock”.
If the safety lever is not in the LOCK position (L) and the control levers are touched by mistake, this
may lead to serious injury.

If the safety lever is not in the LOCK position (L), the control levers may move, causing accidents or
serious injury. Always make sure that the lever is in the LOCK position (L), as shown in the figure.

When shifting the safety lever, take care to avoid touching the equipment control levers.
The lever (1) operates the safety device locking the work
equipmen t, r evolving frame slew, tran slation and the
accessories. When the lever is pulled up, it is set to LOCK
position (L).
The safety device is hydraulic, so even if the control levers and
pedals are moved, the movements of the working equipment
and the machine are not executed.
REMARK
If the safety lock lever is not at LOCK position (L), the engine
will not start. Before operating the ignition switch, always make
sure that the safety lever is in the LOCK position (L). If the
engine stops while the safety lever is in “free” position, shift the
lever back to the LOCK position (L) before operating the
ignition switch.
