CHECKING THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE CLAMPS AND THE RUBBER HARDENING 4
Carry out a visual check of the hoses and touch them with your hand to make sure that the rubber is not hard and
that the screws on the fastening clamps of the high pressure hoses are not loosened (2 positions) between the fuel
pump and the common rail. In case of any problems, ask your Komatsu Distributor to replace the damaged parts.
CHECKING THE PRESENCE OF THE FUEL SPLASH PROTECTION PLUG AND OF ANY
RUBBER HARDENING

The fuel splash protection plugs (10 positions) on the fuel injection hoses and on both ends of the high pressure
hoses prevent the fuel from getting in contact with the high temperature of the engine, which might cause fire in
case of fuel leakage or splashes. Carry out a visual check of the hoses and touch them with your hand to make
sure that the plugs are not missing, the bolts are not loosened and the rubber is not hard. In case of any problems,
ask your Komatsu Distributor to replace the damaged parts.
