Standard Event Register
The Standard Event register reports the following types of instrument events:
power-on detected, command syntax errors, command execution errors,
calibration errors, query errors, or when an
*OPC
command is executed. Any or all
of these conditions can be reported in the Standard Event summary bit through
enable register. To set the enable register mask, you write a decimal value to the
register using the event status enable (
*ESE
) command.
Bit Definitions: Standard Event Register
The Standard Event register is cleared when:
– You execute the clear status (
*CLS
) command.
– Querying the event register using the event status register (
*ESR?
) command.
