OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
31. Lights - Hazard Warning
With the switch in the ON position, the emergency flasher makes
all four turn signals (front and rear) flash simultaneously. The
flasher works independently of the ignition switch. You should
always use the flasher if the vehicle is disabled or parked under
emergency conditions.
Use your Hazard Warning Light System any time you have to stop
off the road or on the side of the road, day or night. A hard to see
vehicle can result in an injury or accident. Another vehicle could run
into you if you do not set your flashers and follow the placement of
emergency signals.
32. Lights - Headlight and Parking Lights
Turn switch on for headlights. When the headlights are ON,
side, and tail lights are also on.
When the headlights are on,
the instrument lights including Smart Wheel, side and tail
lamps are also on.
This switch also controls the park lights.
If you have confirmed there is a problem in the low beam wiring
circuit, proceed with caution to the next available exit/turnoff
and safely pull your vehicle completely off the road and call for
assistance. Driving your vehicle with the headlights on high
beam (at reduced intensity) for a prolonged period could lead to
an injury or accident. Contact your nearest dealer to have the
problem corrected as soon as possible.
33. Lights - Marker (ID)/Clearance
Turn switch on to control Cab and Vehicle Marker (ID)/Clearance
lights. Marker (
ID) and clearance lights are the five amber lights
on top of the cab and the front of the trailer, and the five red
lights on the rear of the truck or trailer. They are switched on
when the headlight switch is in the park light position.
An interrupt switch for the trailer marker lights is mounted on the end of
the turn signal lever.
34. Lights - Marker/Clearance/Cab
Turn switch on to control Cab Marker/Clearance lights separately
from the trailer.
