hand side of engine. This module contains a dual filtration system –
centrifugal oil filter and main oil filter.
1. Centrifugal Oil Filter
2. Lock Stop
3. Filter Lock
4. Main Oil Filter
To Change Centrifugal Oil Filter Element
1. Lift the lock up to its stop catch in
order to replace the centrifugal oil
filter element.
2. Using a single hex socket or ring
spanner (to prevent cap damage),
undo the screw cap.
3. Remove the centrifugal oil filter
element.
4. Remove the O-ring from the screw cap.
5. Fit the new O-ring (1) onto the screw cap (2).
6. Mount the centrifugal oil filter (3)
with its top side in the bearing of the
screw cap (2).
7. Check if the centrifugal oil filter (3)
can rotate freely.
8. Lightly lubricate the O-ring (1) with
some engine oil.
9. Position the screw cap carefully onto the oil module.
10. Tighten the screw cap (1) by hand until it reaches the end
position.
11. Tighten the screw cap (1) to the specified tightening torque.
12. Slide the lock (3) over the thermostat housing of the oil module.
