LUBRICATION SCHEDULE

FRONT SUSPENSION:
Check and lubricate (where applicable) spring shackle and
hanger brackets, spring pins, shackle pins and bushes, spring leaves, king pins,
bushings, thrust bearings and spindles, u-bolt torque, steering and tierod arms/
joints, steering stops and general inspection for wear.

REAR SUSPENSION:
General inspection for wear.

REAR AXLES:
Check oil level. Check wheel bearing freeplay and adjust where
applicable. Ensure axle housing breathers are clear.

DRIVELINES:
Check and lubricate universal joints and slip joints. Ensure all 4 caps
of each joint purge correctly. Check condition of centre bearing where fitted.

CHASSIS:
Grease all lube points. Check torque of chassis/frame fasteners,
suspension to frame bolts, cab/sleeper mounting points, transmission mounting
bolts, suspension u-bolts, torque rod mounting bolts and fuel tank mountings.
Check routing of fuel, air and electrical. Check operation of air dryers, moisture
ejectors and air tank check valves. Check hood alignment and clearance. Check
and drain water from air and fuel tanks where applicable. Check and lubricate 5th
wheel. Check all air valve silencers and clean/replace as necessary. Drain water
from fuel/water seperator if present.

BRAKES – FRONT AND REAR:
Check brake adjustment, wheel seals for leaks,
operation of spring brakes, brake pedal free play and hoses and fittings for leaks,
condition and attachment/support. Lubricate camshafts and slack adjusters
sparingly. Check drum condition. Check air pressure build up time and maximum
pressure. Record maximum pressure and adjust governor if required. Check air
pressure drop - service brakes applied and service brakes not applied.

WHEELS AND TYRES:
Check torque of all wheel nuts. Check for missing valve
caps and stem locks, cracked or loose wheel lugs (cleats) and tyre pressures.
Check for uneven tyre wear.

CAB:
Check glass for scratches, window mechanism operation and general interior
condition/appearance. Check seat mounting and restraints for condition and
tightness. Check cab and sleeper panels/joints. Check interior trim for condition.
Check operation of wipers/washers, horns (air and electric), mirrors, all warning
lights and gauges. Fill washers. Lubricate door locks, hinges, latches and striker
plates sparingly., Check low air pressure warning devices. Clean HVAC fresh air
filter.

ROAD TEST:
Check operation of steering gear shifting, service brakes, engine,
throttle, air seat, HVAC, all exterior lights, speedo/odo, tacho/hourmeter, warning
lights, instruments, gauges, instrument illumination and interior lights.
