LUBRICATION SCHEDULE
LUBRICATION SCHEDULE ( T4 SERIES – MX ENGINE)
C SERVICE (Minimum 1 x Year)

FULL SYSTEM DOWNLOAD:
Download and archive log file recording all active/
inactive fault codes and engine/EAS system statistics, ie. fuel burn figures,
overspeeds, etc.
2 ENGINE: Change engine oil and oil filters (including centrifugal filter). Change
primary and secondary fuel filters. Check A/C compressor mounting for tightness.
Check hose and pipe condition and clearance. Check engine mounts - condition
and torque. Replace drive belts.
3 CHECK OIL LEVELS: Top up as necessary: Engine, transmission, rear carrier(s),
power steering reservoir and oil lubricated wheel bearings.
4 VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT: Adjust valve clearances - 1st 'B' service,
then 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, etc. 'C' service.
5 COMPRESSOR: Check hoses and pipes for condition and clearance.
6 BELTS AND PULLEYS: Check condition of belts.
7 INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM: Change air filter element. Check for leaks
and damage. Check all hose clamps. Check 'clean' side of intake system for
leaks. Check rubber elbows, hump hoses and clamps for integrity and tension.
Check material integrity of intake pipes, including welds on fabricated parts, other
sealing and mating surfaces as applicable and general pipe clearances to other
components. Check mounting bolts for tightness. Check exhaust system for leaks.

AD-BLUE SYSTEM:
Check for leaks – air and ad-blue. Change 'in tank' filter and
air filter.
9 EMERGENCY SHUT DOWN: Check operation of ISO switch, remote switches
and rollover devices.
10 ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS: Check integrity and mounting of electrcial
harnesses and connections.
11 STARTER MOTOR AND ALTERNATOR: Check operation and output. Remove
and inspect alternator brushes and slip rings. Check and record output voltage.
Check battery electrolyte level. Check and tighten battery box and hold down bolts.
Check wiring for routing and chaffing. Correct as necessary.
12 COOLING SYSTEM: Check radiator, CAC and A/C condensor for fouling or
damage. Pressure test cooling system and check for leaks. Check coolant level
and top up where necessary. Use only PACCAR Genuine ELC30 Coolant
Check coolant concentration levels. Check tension of radiator mounting bolts and
shroud clearances.
13 CLUTCH: Check and adjust where applicable. Lubricate release bearing sparingly.
Check clutch brake operation and adjust if necessary.
14 TRANSMISSION: Mineral Oil: Change oil. Synthetic Oil: Check oil level. Change
filter. Ensure vehicle on flat ground and using ServiceRanger 4 Re-calibrate grade
sensor and conduct electronic clutch adjustment.
19 DRIVELINES: Check and lubricate universal joints and slip joints. Ensure all 4 caps
of each joint purge correctly. Check condition of centre bearing where fitted.
