OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Hood Safety Latch

The hood is equipped with a hood safety latch. In order for the hood safety

latch to become engaged, the vehicle hood must be fully open. Once the

vehicle hood is fully open, the safety latch will automatically engage and

will need to be disengaged by the operator.

Hood Assist Ram

Safety Clip (Red)

Hood Safety Latch shown in the safe position

The release lever for the hood safety latch is located near the front hinge

of the hood. Press the lever in to disengage the hood hold-open device.

If the red clip is engaged to the ‘Hood Assist Ram’, it is not safety locked

in position.
