T h e term “battery pack” u sed i n t h ese operati n g i n str u ctio n s
refers bot h to sta n dard battery packs (battery packs w it h
h older o n t h e bike frame) a n d to rack-type battery packs (bat-
tery packs w it h h older i n t h e rear rack/carrier), except wh e n
explicitly referri n g to t h e desig n type.
 Remove the battery pack from the eBike before work-
ing on the eBike (e.g., assembling, maintenance, etc.),
transporting it via car or plane, or storing it.

Protect the battery pack against heat (e. g., al-
so against continuous intense sunlight), fire
and immersing into water.

 Keep the battery pack not being used away from paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal ob-
jects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another.

ca u sed i n t h is ma nn er, a n y a n d all w arra n ty claims t h ro u g h
Bosc h s h all be i nv alid.
 Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery pack. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addi-
tionally seek medical help.
Liq u id ejected from t h e bat-
tery pack may ca u se ski n irritatio n s or b u r n s.
 Vapours can escape in case of damage and improper
use of the battery pack. Provide for fresh air and seek
medical attention in case of complaints.

 Charge the battery pack only with original Bosch bat-
tery chargers.
W h e n u si n g n o n -origi n al Bosc h c h argers,
t h e da n ger of fire ca nn ot be excl u ded.
 Use the battery pack only together with eBikes that
have an original Bosch eBike drive system.
T h is is t h e
o n ly w ay to protect t h e battery pack agai n st da n gero u s
o v erload.
 Use only original Bosch battery packs approved for
your eBike by the manufacturer.

 Please read and observe the safety warnings and in-

charger and drive unit/drive HMI (Human Machine In-
terface), as well as in the operating instructions of your
eBike.
