Making a cappuccino
Prepare the espresso as directed in
the previous sections, using cups that
are large enough.
If you must use tall cups or glasses,
remove the drip tray and place your
vessel on a tray.
•
Press the
C
button, the indicator
flashes.
•
Then pour 1 milk into the con-
tainer at the rate of about 100 g
for each serving of cappuccino.
For a denser and fluffier foam,
use skim or partially skimmed
milk that has a refrigerator tem-
perature (about 8°C). When
choosing the size of the con-
tainer, it should be taken into ac-
count that the volume of milk will
increase by 2-3 times.
•
During the heating process, the
C
indicator will flash. Wait for
the beep. The
C
button indicator
will then glow steadily and a
double beep will sound, indicat-
ing that the boiler has reached
the ideal temperature to gener-
ate steam.
•
Place an empty container under
the cappuccino maker
2
and
open the handle
3
for a few sec-
onds to drain any probable wa-
ter droplets from the circuit.
Close the handle.
•
Place 1 container of milk under
the cappuccinatore.
•
Lower the cappuccino maker
2
into the milk container by a few
millimeters. Turn the handle to
the par
3
position. Steam will
start flowing from the cappuc-
cino maker, thanks to which the
milk foams and increases in vol-
ume. For an even creamier
foam, dip the cappuccino maker
into the milk and slowly rotate
the milk container from the bot-
tom to the top.
