• Vertical installation for measuring abrasive
substances, the preferred flow direction is from
bottom to top.

• Measuring pipe must always be full.
• Ensure the line is slightly inclined for degas-
sing.

• For a free outlet, do not install the measuring
device at the highest point or in the draining
side of the pipeline, as the measuring pipe
runs empty or air bubbles can form (1).
• Provide a culvert (drain) for free inlets or out-
lets so that the pipeline is always full (2).

• We recommend a bypass connection, accord-
ing to the figure, for heavily contaminated mea-
suring media so that the system can continue
operating without any interruptions during me-
chanical cleaning.
