1. Adjustment procedure of engagement amount of knives
(1) When adjusting the engagement, perform the work after confirming
regarding the height of fixed knife
that the upper surface of the
fixed knife is flush with the upper surface of the throat plate or the
former is installed slightly lower than the latter.
(2) Loosen setscrew
in the state that fabric trimmer
comes down
to its lowest position, and adjust the engagement amount of the
fabric trimmer
and fixed knife
to approximately 0.5 mm.
2. Adjustment procedure of the knife pressure
(1) Make the engagement pressure of fabric trimmer
and fixed knife
as low as possible within the range of smooth cutting of fabric.
(2) Loosen setscrews

. Knife pressure is increased by
tightening setscrew
while pressing it to the right-hand side.
(3) Setscrew
is positioned on the left side of the slot.
(4) After adjusting the knife pressure, tighten the screws in the order of

3. Adjustment procedure of knife cutting position
Adjust the distance between the right needle and the cutting position
as described below.
(1) Loosen setscrews

to the right and left to adjust the distance.
(2) After the adjustment, perform the adjustment of the knife pressure
again.
