1. Adjusting the upper knife pressure
(1) Loosen setscrews in thrust collar , fix section A, and move
thrust collar to right and left to adjust the knife pressure. It is
standard adjustment that the clearance between thrust collar
and metal is 10 mm. When moving thrust collar to the left
(direction B), pressing it to spring , and fixing with setscrews ,
the knife pressure is increased. When moving thrust collar to the
right (direction C), and fixing it with setscrews , the knife pressure
is decreased.
* When cutting heavy materials, place thrust collar between spring
and metal , make thrust collar come in contact with the end
of metal , and fix it with setscrew .
(Caution) Set the knife pressure as low as possible within the
range where cloth is smoothly cut for use.
2. Adjusting the lateral position of the lower knife
(1) Loosen waste cloth pipe setscrews .
(2) Loosen lower knife holder setscrew , and move lower knife holder
in the lateral direction to adjust.
(3) After the adjustment, fix it with lower knife holder setscrew , and
perform “5.-(20)-2)-1. ADJUSTING THE UPPER KNIFE
PRESSURE”.
(4) Perform the adjustment of the position of waste cloth pipe with waste
cloth pipe setscrews .
