FLOOR-CHARGING BRUSH SYSTEM
The floor-charging brush system is a mechanical
part of the electric kart charging system.
Because of the importance of making sure the
kart is being recharged properly, it should be
inspected for proper operation (see pg. 0-11).
Be sure both brushes are in good condition,
and they slide both up and down freely in the
holder. Inspect the UHMW brush holder to be
sure it is tightly fastened to kart’s chassis. Look
for loose or damaged cables or connections.
Inspect the brush system alignment with
the floor contacts to ensure that the brush is
making good contact with the floor plate.
