Monitoring Printers
To simplify printer monitoring, you can create logical groups of
printers. The printer status of each printer is displayed in the AXIS
NetPilot window.

Creating a printer group
Follow the instructions below to create a printer group:
1. Select the ‘Monitoring Printers’ folder.
2. Click on the New Group button on the toolbar or select New
Printer Group from the File menu.
3. Type a printer group name in the text field and click OK.
You can create as many printer groups as you want.
Adding a printer to a printer group
Follow the instructions below to add a printer to a printer group:
1. Select the printer group folder, located in the ‘Monitoring Print-
ers’ folder.
2. Click on the Add Printer button on the toolbar or select Add
Printer from the File menu.
3. The Add Printer window appears. Double-click the printer name
to which the desired printer is connected and select the printer
type. Click OK.
Note! If there are more than one unit of the same type, each must
have a dedicated name that differs from the others in some way.
