38 Chapter 4 - Maintaining the System

To install the new combo drive:
1.
Secure the replacement combo drive to the support bracket using the
screws removed previously.
2.
Install the combo drive into the base unit, and secure the drive using
the screws removed previously.
3.
Connect the ISA bus cables, power cable, and floppy cable to the
combo drive.
4.
Replace the CD-ROM drive and secure it to the chassis. Connect the
audio, SCSI, and power cables.
5.
Close the base unit.
System Hard Disk Drive
This section describes replacing the system hard disk drive, located under
the
power supply.

To remove the system hard disk drive:
1.
Power off the base unit. Remove the top cover, left side panel, and
back cover.
2.
Disconnect the SCSI cable and the power cable from the hard disk
drive as shown in the following figure. The power supply is omitted
for clarity.
