FUEL SYSTEM
!
WARNING
Never remove or modify any components of
the engine’s fuel system. Tampering with fuel
components may cause a hazardous condition
that could result in severe personal injury or
death. This work must be performed by your
Indmar dealer’s technicians.
!
WARNING
Do not attempt to repair or replace any
components of the fuel system. They are special
marine parts and may require special service
tools. You could damage the fuel system by not
using specified tools. This could cause a fire or
explosion.
The Indmar fuel system uses high quality marine grade
components. These components will tolerate small
amounts of water without sustaining damage. Your
engine will misfire and run poorly, however, if water is in
the fuel. Use caution when re-fueling not to allow water
to enter the fuel system. If you suspect your fuel is water
contaminated, consult your dealer and avoid that fuel
source in the future.
See your dealer for assistance with fuel system repairs.
BATTERY
Your engine uses a special 12-volt marine battery. If a
replacement is needed, use only a marine battery with
minimum 650 cold cranking amps at 0°F (-18°C).
NOTICE
Use caution when connecting the battery cables.
Improperly connecting the battery cables or using the
wrong battery type can damage electrical components.
These damages are not covered by your warranty.
When disconnecting or reconnecting battery cables,
always disconnect the negative (black) battery cable first.
When connecting battery cables, always connect the
positive (red) battery cable first.
Before disconnecting the battery, make sure the battery
switch (if equipped), ignition key and all accessories are
in the OFF position.
