3. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
CAUTION
REPEATED FAILURE TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT ENGINE COOL-DOWN MAY
CAUSE SIGNIFICANT ENGINE DAMAGE. PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ENGINE
STOP PROCEDURES DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ONLY.
A. Genset Shutdown
(1) On Genset Control Panel, press
EMERGENCY STOP
(red mushroom)
push-button. (If equipped; See Figure 4) Genset engine will immediately
stop and bypass normal cool-down period.
(2) On Genset Control Panel, set
TEST-OFF-AUTO
switch to
OFF
(if
equipped, See Figure 4).
(3) Disconnect PCA hose from aircraft and stow hose as time and conditions
permit.
(4) Respond to emergency situation in accordance with local procedures.
(5) When time permits, restore all switches/controls to default/neutral
positions. Perform "Pre-Operational Inspection" (paragraph 2.A) prior to
next use to ensure unit configuration and proper operation.
