(6) Genset Engine Area:
Inspect for fluid leaks (fuel, oil, coolant). Refer to genset Supplemental
Technical Manual as required for engine servicing.
NOTE
Water condensation is a normal by-product of air conditioner operations.
Condensate will drain as waste-water to the ground under the evaporator coils.
(7) Engine Filters:
WARNING
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN OPENING SERVICE ACCESS DOORS OR
INSPECTING UNIT WHILE UNIT IS OPERATING. UNIT INTERIOR CONTAINS
MOVING PARTS, HOT SURFACES, AND ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARDS. DO
NOT STEP ON OR GRAB HOLD OF WIRING OR PIPING.
Ensure all engine filters are replaced/cleaned on a periodic maintenance
schedule. Ensure engine air filter intake is unobstructed. Refer to Section
2-1, Servicing, and to Supplemental Technical Manuals as required.
(8) Fluid Levels:
WARNING
NEVER SMOKE OR ALLOW AN OPEN FLAME WITHIN THE IMMEDIATE
VICINTY OF THE UNIT WHILE SERVICING FUEL. NEVER SERVICE UNIT WITH
THE ENGINE OPERATING. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN FUEL FIRE
AND/OR FUEL EXPLOSION CAUSING SEVERE INJURY INCLUDING DEATH
AND/OR SEVERE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE.
WARNING
UNIT IS NOT GROUNDED. GROUND UNIT TO A CERTIFIED GROUND POINT
PRIOR TO SERVICING FUEL. MAINTAIN METAL-TO-METAL CONTACT
BETWEEN FILLER NOZZLE AND FUEL TANK FILL PORT. TO PREVENT
SPARKING BETWEEN FILLER NOZZLE AND FUEL TANK,
CAUTION
NEVER OPERATE THE ENGINE WITH THE OIL LEVEL BELOW THE DIPSTICK
"L" / "LOW" /"FILL" MARK OR ABOVE THE "H"/"HIGH"/"FULL" MARK. WAIT
AT LEAST FIVE (5) MINUTES AFTER SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE TO CHECK
OIL LEVEL TO ALLOW TIME FOR THE OIL TO DRAIN TO THE OIL PAN.
Inspect engine oil and radiator coolant levels. Fuel level gauge on rear
canopy may be used to ensure adequate fuel supply. (See Figure 3) Refer
