3. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Properly trained and certified refrigeration system technicians should accomplish
refrigeration system service and maintenance. The refrigeration system
schematic for the Model RJ150 is included as Figure 2.
A. Special Tools and Equipment:
In addition to standard general tools (wrench sets, socket sets, screwdrivers,
etc.), the following special tools may be required:
•
Compressor oil pump
•
Refrigerant leak detector
•
Vacuum pump (Refer to Tables 3 and 4)
•
Refrigeration ratchet
•
Manifold gauges
•
Refrigerant recovery and recycle system
•
Micron gauge
•
Nitrogen cylinder with L.P. regulator
•
Refrigerant bottle (based on the refrigerant used in the system; refer to
Section 1-3, Unit Configuration Matrix)
•
Scales (for weighing refrigerant bottle)
•
Compressor oil (refer to manufacturer's data in Chapter 5)
•
Fluorescent dye (for leak detection)
•
Black light (for leak detection)
B. Refrigeration System Access:
Access doors and panels are positioned to allow full access to the
refrigeration system components. (See Figure 3)
