B. Support Test Equipment Required:
General tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.) required are common to
similarly equipped automotive maintenance and repair facility. Additional tools
required may include:
•
Multimeter
•
Tachometer
•
Specialized refrigerant handling, charging and testing equipment such as
manifold gauge set (Refer to Section 2-1, Servicing)
•
See manufacturers’ manuals for additional tool requirements
C. Component Failure:
Stop the engine immediately should any component fail. Practically all engine
failures give some warning to the operator before the component fails and
ruins the engine.
