Input tab
You can configure your keyboard settings for a particular language or locale on the
Input tab. You can also adjust the character repeat for your keyboard on this tab.
Follow these steps to configure your keyboard for a particular language or locale:
1.
Select a locale from the pull-down menu.
2.
Click OK to save your changes, and close the Terminal Properties window.
Notes:
1.
To successfully enable your keyboard for a particular language or locale, you
must also configure your terminal server for the same language or locale. Refer
to the documentation for your terminal server for information.
2.
If you work with emulators, you must also configure your emulator software
for the same language or locale. See the FutureSoft Terminal Emulation Client
help files for more information. Refer to “Viewing the TEC help files” on
page 25 for information on how to view the help files.
Follow these steps to adjust the character repeat for your keyboard:
1.
To adjust the repeat delay, move the bar from long to short.
2.
To adjust the repeat rate, move the bar from slow to fast.
3.
Click OK to save your changes and close the Terminal Properties window.
Display tab
You can set the desktop area and refresh frequency for your monitor on the
Display tab. You can also perform the following tasks on this tab:
v
Enable a screen saver for your NetVista thin client
v
Configure a power down delay for your monitor
Follow these steps to set the desktop area and refresh frequency for your monitor:
1.
Select a value for Desktop Area and Refresh Frequency from the pull-down
menu.
To test if your selection works properly with your monitor, follow these steps:
a.
Click Test.
b.
Click OK to begin the test.
The system will automatically restart and display the video test.
c.
From the Display Test dialog box, select one of the following options:
1)
Select Pass to keep your desktop area settings. You will be prompted for
a response:
a)
Click Yes to use the new resolution settings. The Terminal
Connection Manager window appears.
b)
Click No to reject the settings. Your system automatically restarts,
when prompted click OK. The Terminal Connection Manager
window appears.
2)
Select Fail to change desktop area settings.
Selecting Fail or no response within 15 seconds will automatically restart
and reset your NetVista thin client to default video settings.
2.
Click OK to save your changes.
Follow these steps to enable a screen saver:
1.
Select Enable Screen Saver.
