2. Record the location and label each adapter cable being removed.
3. To remove the adapter cable, do either of the following:
a. If screws are used to connect the adapter cable connector to the adapter, loosen the
two screws, and then remove the cable.
b. If retainer clips are used to connect the adapter cable connector to the adapter, rotate
the clips away from the cable connector, and then remove the cable.

1. Replace in the reverse order.
2. Depending on the power distribution in your rack, do one of the following Power-On
procedures:
•
“Power-On Procedure with a Power Distribution Bus” on page 4-4.
•
“Power-On Procedure with a Power Distribution Unit” on page 4-7.
•
“Power-On Procedure with a Power Distribution Panel” on page 4-11.
