Note: For ASF and Manual Sheet Feed, adjustment to the top margin must be set

through the Paper Load Position. See Chapter 11, “Printer Adjustments” on

page 11-1 for more information.
Start
S t a r t
Press Start to perform the following functions:
Ÿ Make the printer ready and turn the Ready indicator on.
Ÿ Exit the Configuration Menu and make the printer ready. If a partial reset is
required, it is performed to put configuration changes into effect before the
printer becomes
ready.
Note: If you have made configuration changes and have not saved them in a
Custom Set, the display will prompt you to save the changes.
Ÿ Start the printer printing if no error condition appears on the display and if the
computer is sending data to be printed.
Ÿ Begin a test from the Operator Print Tests menu.
Stop
S t o p
If the printer is in a
ready state, press Stop to:
Ÿ
Make the printer not ready and turn the Ready indicator off
Ÿ Stop printing as soon as possible without losing print data
Ÿ Stop a test if the printer is in test mode
Ÿ
Stop the printer alarm from beeping
Ÿ Allow you to use the other printer function keys
Ÿ Cause the printer to display:
(or cause the current test menu to display if the printer is in Operator Print
Tests mode)

If an error condition appears on the operator panel display, press Stop to:
Ÿ Clear the error message from the display
Ÿ
Stop the printer alarm from beeping.
