Connecting the SmartLogger to multiple SUN2000s



A maximum of 200 devices can connect to a single SmartLogger. You are advised to connect fewer
than 30 devices to each RS485 route.



The IP addresses for all devices in the daisy chain should be within the searching segment set in the
SmartLogger and they must differ from each other. Otherwise, the communication would fail
between the devices and the SmartLogger.



You can perform the

Auto Assign Address

operation on the built-in WebUI of the SmartLogger. If

an RS485 address conflict is detected for SUN2000s, the SmartLogger automatically reassigns
addresses without the need for local address upgrade for the SUN2000s.



The values of

Baud rate

for all the devices in each daisy chain should stay consistent with the baud

rate of the SmartLogger.

AC Power Cable Connection

shows the method for connecting the SmartLogger2000-10/10-B/10-C to multiple

SUN2000s over an AC power cable.
