Operands
This command has the following operands:

To create zone aliases in V3.1.x:
The following example shows how to create zone aliases in V4.1.x. Notice that the
first example uses area numbers.
aliName
Specify a name for the zone alias in quotation marks. This
operand is required. A zone alias name must begin with a
letter and can be followed by any number of letters, digits,
and underscore characters (up to a maximum of 64
characters). Names are case-sensitive, for example,
“Ali_1” and “ali_1” are different zone aliases. Blank
spaces are ignored. This operand is required.
member
Specify a member or list of members to be added to the
alias, in quotation marks, separated by semicolons. An
alias member can be specified by one or more of the
following methods:

For V3.1.x, a switch domain and physical port
number pair.
■
For V4.1.x, a switch domain and port area number
pair. View the area numbers for ports using the
switchShow
command.
