SECONDARY SIDE

Measure the resistance of the secondary coil by

attaching one ohmmeter probe to the spark plug cap
and the other to the ignition coil ground terminal

If measured resistance is out of specification, replace

the ignition coil.

SPARK PLUG CAP

Remove the spark plug cap [1].
Measure the resistance of the spark plug cap by

attaching one ohmmeter probe as shown.

If measured resistance is out of specification, replace

the spark plug cap.
