TROUBLESHOOTING
ENGINE OIL LEVEL IS LOW, BUT ENGINE DOES NOT STOP
Check the following at the engine on a level surface.
Remove the control panel (page 8-6).
Disconnect the ignition control module 10P
connector .
Check for continuity between the wire
connector of the control panel wire harness
side and 10P connector .
Drain the engine oil.
Pull the recoil starter grip and check the Oil Alert
indicator light on the control panel.
Remove the maintenance cover (page 5-2).
Disconnect the wire connector that
connects the generator wire harness and control
panel wire harness.
Check for continuity between the wire connector
of the generator wire harness side and ground.
Lights
No light
Perform the spark test (page 9-6).
Replace the ignition control module if necessary
(page 8-7).
No continuity
Continuity
Inspect the oil level switch (page 11-4).
Normal Abnormal
Replace the oil level switch
(page 11-3).
Replace the generator wire harness (page 8-10).
Continuity
No continuity
Replace the generator wire harness (page 8-10).
Replace the ignition control module (page 8-7).
