IGNITION SYSTEM

IGNITION CONTROL MODULE

INSPECTION

Do not disconnect
the connector and

terminal during

inspection.

Remove the control panel (page 8-6).

Disconnect the 10P connector

from the ignition

control module.
Turn the engine stop switch to the ON position.
Test the wire harness according to the table below.
If it is normal, replace the ignition control module.

Resistance: 0.7 – 1.1

Check for continuity to engine ground.

There should be no continuity with correct oil level.

Check for continuity to engine ground.

There should be continuity.

Exciter winding

Measure the resistance to engine ground.

Resistance: 0.5 – 0.9
