CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean your motorcycle regularly to protect its painting,
plastic, rubber and chromed components. Washing the
motorcycle frequently also increases its service life.
When riding near the ocean, where the contact with
humidity and salt is higher, dedicate extra care to the
regular maintenance. After riding, remove the
aggressive elements immediately to avoid oxidation.
– In case of rain or contact with pluvial water on city
streets or near the ocean, or when crossing streams
and floods, make a habit of washing the motorcycle
after using it. Apply rust-inhibiting spray to the
wheel rims, forks and shock absorbers, exhaust
pipe (including inner surface) and other chromed
components.
NOTE
Apply rust-inhibiting spray only with the engine cold.
The excess can be removed after 24 hours.
Do not apply rust-inhibiting spray near the brake
system.
– Eliminate accumulated dust, dirt, mud, sand and
gravel. Remove any incrustation from friction
components such as brake pads and disc to prevent
reducing its efficiency and service life.
– Gravel and sand from the streets may affect painted
surfaces.
– For motorcycle extended storage, refer to the
instructions under “Storage Guide”.

WARNING
After riding near the ocean, wash the motorcycle immediately.
Apply rust-inhibiting spray to the chromed parts after washing.
