Engine Oil
(Refer to “Maintenance Precautions” on page 60.)
Recommended Oil
Use only high detergent, high quality engine oil
certified on the container to meet the requirements for
API Service Classification SE, SF or SG.
Viscosity should be based on average atmospheric
temperature in your riding area. The diagram provides a
guide to select the proper oil grade or viscosity to be
used at various atmospheric temperatures.

The use of a different oil from that specified may
damage the engine due to carbonization. Under this
circumstance, Honda Limited Warranty will be voided.

For proper engine lubrication, it is essential to use
a high quality oil.
Engine Oil and Oil Strainer
Change the engine oil as specified in the Maintenance
Schedule on page 58. If the motorcycle is ridden in
dusty areas, change the oil and clean the strainer
more frequently than specified in the Maintenance
Schedule.
NOTE
Change the oil with the engine at normal operating
temperature and the motorcycle on its main stand
(CG150 Titan KS/ES/ESD/CG150 Job) or side stand
(CG150 Sport) to assure a complete and rapid draining.
! WARNING
If a torque wrench is not used for installation, see
your authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible to
check for proper assembly.

engine performance and service life.

Non-detergent, vegetable oils or racing lubricants
are not recommended.
