Adjustment
If the drive chain requires adjustment, follow the
procedures below:
1. Place the motorcycle on its main stand
(CG150 Titan KS/ES/ESD/CG150 Job) or side stand
(CG150 Sport) with the transmission in neutral and
the engine off.
2. Loosen the rear axle nut (1).
3. Turn the lock nuts (2) and adjusting nuts (3).
4. Turn the adjusting nuts an equal number of turns
until the correct drive chain slack is obtained. Turn
the adjusting nuts clockwise to tighten the chain, or
counterclockwise to provide more slack.
Drive chain slack should be 20 – 30 mm
(0.8 – 1.2 in) at a point midway between the drive
sprocket and the rear wheel sprocket. Rotate the
rear wheel and recheck the slack in all sections of
the chain. The index mark (4) on the adjusters
should be aligned with the same marks of the
adjusting scale (5) stamped on the swingarm ends.
NOTE
If the drive chain slack is excessive and the rear axle
is adjusted to its limit, the chain is worn and must be
replaced with the sprockets as a set.
5. Tighten the rear axle nut.
TORQUE: 78 – 98 N.m (7.8 – 9.8 kgf.m, 57 – 71 lbf.ft)
6. Tighten the adjusting nuts lightly, and then tighten the
lock nuts by holding the adjusting nuts with an open
end wrench.
7. Recheck the drive chain slack.
8. Brake pedal free play is affected when repositioning
the rear wheel to adjust drive chain slack. Check
the brake pedal free play and adjust as necessary
(page 28).

WARNING
If a torque wrench is not used for installation, see
your authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible to
check for proper assembly. Otherwise brake
effectiveness may be reduced.
