High-density expansion unit
The AMS 2000 High-density Storage Expansion Unit (called high-density
expansion unit) contains from 0 to 48 SATA disk drives, two pairs of
redundant power supplies, and four ENC control units (cards). The control
units manage the drives and are also used to connect the expansion unit to
the base unit and to other expansion units.
Figure 1-16 shows the front (above) and rear (below) views of the high-
density expansion unit. The front bezel has been removed in this photo.
