Quick-adjust in Direct Mode (Proportional Dual Rates)
Direct Rate mode is accessed using the electronic Direct
Rate rocker buttons A and B for brake and steering. They
are located in the top part of the transmitter handle.
This function enables you to effect a “quick adjustment” of
steering travel (Rate) using rocker button B, or brake travel
using rocker button A, without having to press one of the
four function buttons.
The maximum value of steering travel STM can be pre-set
in the Set-up Menu within the range 0 - 125% using the
INC+ or DEC- buttons. This represents the basic steering
travel.
This pre-set value (Master travel), selected in the STM menu
using INC+ and DEC-, is the maximum travel. Using Direct
Rocker Button B the value can be reduced to 40%, but it
cannot be exceeded.
The maximum value of brake travel EPA TH R/B can be
pre-set in the Set-up Menu within the range 0 - 125% using
the INC+ or DEC- buttons. This represents the basic brake
travel.
This pre-set value (basic travel), selected in the EPA TH R/
B menu, is the maximum travel. Using Direct Rocker Button
A the value can be reduced to “0”, but it cannot be exceeded.
This is only possible if button A is not set to act as AUX.
Caution: if EPA TH is reduced to “0”, the Direct Mode EPA
BRAKE does not work!
Operating rocker button A in the EPA BRK menu enables
the driver to carry out a “quick adjustment” to the model’s
braking effect during a race, to allow for the track conditions
and other circumstances.
Explanation: Large-scale models often employ separa-
te brake servos, as it is desirable to adjust the braking
force individually for the front and rear wheels
Quick adjustment of braking effect EPA BRK during a
race (Proportional Dual Rate) using rocker button A.
Caution: If EPA TH is set to “0”, EPA BRK does not
work!.
